  • Return To Depot Service: Usually this is the lowest form of service response. You ship the scanner into the manufacturer and they repair it. Often this type of repair including ship time to and from the facility can take two or three weeks.
  • Advanced Unit Replacement or Exchange: While not offered on all scanner models. This is usually offered on all desktop and low-volume scanners. It is a popular service plan because it offers the least expense while offering fast service. The program typically is processed by a service phone call into the scanner manufacturer. If the issue can not be resolved over the phone, the scanner manufacturer will ship next day delivery a certified refurbished scanner of your scanner's exact model. Once the scanner arrives you box up your scanner and return it to the scanner manufacturer. The plan offers next day service on a budget.
  • NEXT BUSINESS DAY ON-SITE SERVICE: (Parts and Labor is included in the plan.) Most all scanner manufacturers will offer this type of service. It is mostly offered for mid-volume to high volume production scanners. A trained scanner manufacturer technician employee (typically) is who will come on-site to the scanner's location. They will usually have most often used parts on-board their vehicle. However, in some rare cases a part may need to be shipped next day air to the location to complete repairs. This service plan can be purchased typically as an extended warranty. If the scanner is warranted for 3 months, a one year extended plan will "extended" the warranty from 3 months to 1 full year.
    Usually scanner manufacturers will offer 2 and 3 year extended warranties at a collective discount for buying them upfront. This can save you dollars on a service budget than purchasing the scanner service from year to year.
    If a scanner is in a critical business flow and it is imperative that up time of the scanner is critical, then you should consider the SAME DAY SERVICE product.
  • SAME DAY ON-SITE SERVICE: (Parts and Labor is included in the plan.) Typically this service is offered as a 4 hour response time same day service product. Of course it depends on what time of day you call in your service request. Same as the next day service, the plan is carried out by trained scanner manufacturer technician employee (typically) is who will come on-site to the scanner's location. They will usually have most often used parts on-board their vehicle. However, in some rare cases a part may need to be shipped next day air to the location to complete repairs. But with same day service, if a part had to be ordered, you will save a day of down time on this plan.

They look at the exchange rate of the US dollar to their currency + shipping costs + securing a service contract within their country = a good deal for them. ALL INCOMING DUTIES, CUSTOM FEES, TAXES, ETC IS PAID BY THE CUSTOMER AT TIME OF DELIVERY WITHIN YOUR COUNTRY OR WHATEVER THE LOCAL POLICY/LAWS APPLY.
