    In a nutshell what does documentINDEXER+ do?
  • documentINDEXER+ is installed on its own Windows XP Class Desktop PC
  • A workflow (there can be several running at one time) is watching a folder on the scanner PC
  • Whenever a TIF file is completed/closed by the scanning software, documentINDEXER+ moves it to its work folder and processes it according to the rules of the workflow.
    • What are some of the workflow features that will process TIF documents?
    • Automatically - A key zone (like an invoice #, patient SS#, etc) on the lead page of a batch of documents (now a multi-page TIF file) can be read either through OCR or through Bar Code
    • Automatically - The data from the zone read can be compared with a database of the same data to determine if there is a correct match.
    • Automatically - If there is a correct match, then several fields of other data that relate to the key zone is pulled back from the database source and associated with the TIF document image. (These "other" fields of data will become the index to search for the document later.)
    • Automatically - If desired, documentINDEXER+ can transfer the TIF document image into a searchable PDF file or a non-searchable PDF - you pick.
    • Automatically - documentINDEXER+ will save/publish the PDF (or TIF if PDF was not selected) to any LAN server or shared drive path using ANY folder path and file name structure you can create
    • Automatically - Once saved/published, documentINDEXER+ will take the complete PATH of the document and the associated index data from the previous step and write all of that information to a table either in the same database the index data was pulled from or an entirely different database.
    • Automatically - If chosen, documentINDEXER+ can save/publish the document files and index data to the WorldSoft Document Management LAN or WEB software. Now your documents are ready for anyone with the correct rights on the LAN or if Web to accomplish full content searches, collaborate with group project documents or search for archived documents.
  • Your office can use the LookUp and Retrieval Desktop Tool that comes with documentINDEXER+ or if licensed, the WorldSoft Document Management LAN or WEB can be used by everyone who has rights with a lot more features and power.

The main function of documentINDEXER+ is indexing. documentINDEXER+ is “middleware” that resides within a Microsoft operating environment. Documents are captured from user defined Microsoft folders or Outlook email documents are processed through user defined indexing processes (manual, semi-automatic or automatic) and documents are published by documentINDEXER+ to a user defined Microsoft repository (Explorer, Access, or ODBC compliant databases). documentINDEXER+ is tightly integrated with Microsoft tools; such as, Outlook and Explorer. This product is designed to be used in conjunction WITH our product documentINDEXER+ OR can be used independently (as a stand alone product). WSDM's repository (where your document files are stored) can be automatically built by documentINDEXER+ or the user can upload single files, ten files at a time or a mass upload of all the files in a given folder (that the user creates - if they have the " user rights") or both.

If your need is to use the Repository (where files are stored) for functions such as workflow processing, collaboration, scheduling or task management then WSDM is the product for your office. You may need the ability to “check out” a file so that no one can change it, or you may require folder/file security, or file access reporting, then WSDM is a great product.

A key component of a Repository is the method of retrieval. You may prefer folder navigation. You may want to retrieve files by entering a “key word” (Content Management). Or, you may want to access a database by “indexes” or tags. Or, you may want to use all three retrieval options. Beside using the internal database (MySQL) that comes with WSDM, an external MySQL database can be set up for document retrieval from that source. Using an external database as a source can be useful if the goal is file archive/retrieval only (without any collaboration, task management, access logging, etc) from a LAN or WEB or BOTH.

Files can be accessed by the client/server retrieval (LAN) or from the web (See below). WSC will prosecute ANY fraudulent purchase and ANY non-payment of an order. All Attorney and or collection fees incurred pursuing recovery of ANY payment due WSC will also be owed and recovered from the customer.

WSC will ship to an APO address. Your shipping WILL NOT CALCULATE correctly for an APO address on-line. If your order is OVER $450 then Ground/Surface shipping will record as free. However, understand that this is not correct. APO shipping charges will be whatever the US Postal Service charges to ship your order to your APO address. Our system can not calculate that since it is tied to UPS. Therefore understand that while your order may show NO SHIPPING CHARGES, a second charge on your credit card will show and this will be for shipping charges. This charge may show 10 days to 14 days AFTER the date of your on-line order was placed which will be the first charge on your credit card for the actual ordered product(s).

"Usually" means usually. We do our best to get ALL orders that come through this web store by 3:30 PM EST shipped out the same day. Therefore, "Next Day" orders we do our best to get them out the day of the order to arrive at the designated address "Next Day". Warehouse hours are 8 AM to 3:30 PM EST (Mon - Fri). ANY SCANNER shipped outside the USA the manufacturer will void its warranty. Some customers do not care. They look at the exchange rate of the US dollar to their currency + shipping costs + securing a service contract within their country = a good deal for them. Other customers do not will not order for this reason. ALL INCOMING DUTIES, CUSTOM FEES, TAXES, ETC IS PAID BY THE CUSTOMER AT TIME OF DELIVERY WITHIN YOUR COUNTRY OR WHATEVER THE LOCAL POLICY/LAWS APPLY.
