NOTE: The ScanSnap S510 is not TWAIN or ISIS compatible. This is NOT a bad thing. It just is the way it is designed. It is designed to ONLY produce PDF files. You NEED to know this IF and ONLY IF you ALSO need to produce TIF or JPG file formats. THEREFORE, IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THIS SCANNER WITH SOME OTHER COMPUTER SOFTWARE SYSTEM AS THE DIRECT ATTACHED SCANNER TO THAT SOFTWARE. CALL THAT SOFTWARE PROVIDER AND ASK THEM IF THEY SUPPORT THE FUJITSU ScanSnap SCANNER BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THIS SCANNER. This scanner has a proprietary (means exclusive) PDF ONLY driver and will scan ONLY with Adobe Acrobat. It produces ONLY PDF files using Adobe Acrobat as the Capture Software.

HOWEVER, that said, AFTER the PDF files are created, software programs such as PaperPort or Fujitsu's Rack2-Filer or documentINDEXER+ can be used to manage the PDF files.
