A workflow (there can be several running at one time) is watching a folder on the scanner PC
Whenever a TIF file is completed/closed by the scanning software, documentINDEXER+ moves it to its work folder and processes it according to the rules of the workflow.
What are some of the workflow features that will process TIF documents?
Automatically - A key zone (like an invoice #, patient SS#, etc) on the lead page of a batch of documents (now a multi-page TIF file) can be read either through OCR or through Bar Code
Automatically - The data from the zone read can be compared with a database of the same data to determine if there is a correct match.
Automatically - If there is a correct match, then several fields of other data that relate to the key zone is pulled back from the database source and associated with the TIF document image. (These "other" fields of data will become the index to search for the document later.)
Automatically - If desired, documentINDEXER+ can transfer the TIF document image into a searchable PDF file or a non-searchable PDF - you pick.
Automatically - documentINDEXER+ will save/publish the PDF (or TIF if PDF was not selected) to any LAN server or shared drive path using ANY folder path and file name structure you can create
Automatically - Once saved/published, documentINDEXER+ will take the complete PATH of the document and the associated index data from the previous step and write all of that information to a table either in the same database the index data was pulled from or an entirely different database.
Automatically - If chosen, documentINDEXER+ can save/publish the document files and index data to the WorldSoft Document Management LAN or WEB software. Now your documents are ready for anyone with the correct rights on the LAN or if Web to accomplish full content searches, collaborate with group project documents or search for archived documents.
Your office can use the LookUp and Retrieval Desktop Tool that comes with documentINDEXER+ or if licensed, the WorldSoft Document Management LAN or WEB can be used by everyone who has rights with a lot more features and power.

documentINDEXER+ does not require a "workstation" class machine. However, WSC recommends that a PC is dedicated to the software and it alone. It should be on the network with access rights to the "Target Folder" where the scanned images are deposited by the scanning/capture software and access rights to the "Repository Folder" where the final processed image files are going to be deposited.
