The software documentINDEXER+ AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT SEARCH INDEXING ARCHIVE Version 3.4.67 automates the creation of a document search index for archive documents. OCR or Barcode automated reading or Forms Recognition automation is used to capture off a scanned document key information (the Semi-Auto version differs from the full automatic versions). The document key information can then be searched for in any OBDC compliant database and matched with any number of additional search index fields of choice. documentINDEXER will associate these previously unrelated fields of information with the processed document so that any of these fields of information can be used to search for the archived document by unlimited users using our search retrieval tool or one you create. The software can convert a TIF file into a content searchable PDF file automatically. The converted processed document can be saved, published to any server or shared drive path of your choosing and be named whatever you desire. documentINDEXER will process thousands of documents a day and several document processing workflows can be run automatically at the same time. There is nothing proprietary about documentINDEXER software. It is an open architecture, Microsoft Windows based production program.

In a nutshell what does documentINDEXER+ do?
The software oversees THREE major categories: CAPTURE (AFTER scanning is completed where the scanned files are located on the scanning PC) and REPOSITORY (the final folder/directory - Server or shared drive - location where files are stored) and INDEX (whatever index is created during processing, it can be written along with the folder/file location to ANY OBDC compliant database or to a document management program)

A workflow can be designed (no programming or scripting language required) to use any of the above components shown to create automated (operator unattended) and validated (accurate) workflows. The filing of documents no longer requires manual paper filing or manual indexing of digital files. It is completely automatic. Paper is put into the scanning mechanism….the SCAN button is selected…. and moments later the files are processed and retrievable by an unlimited number of users.

There are many ways to retrieve files with the software. Each user can select the method that works best for them. That is the benefit of “open architecture”. All methods are unlimited users.
The Repository is where the files are stored. Due to the open architecture of the software many types of Repositories are supported. For example, you may prefer a client/server environment. Or, you may prefer a web based deployment. Or, you may want both. An analysis of the document types and the associated business processes will help in selecting the environment that works best for you. In addition, a key component in making a Repository decision is the method of retrieval. You may prefer folder navigation. You may want to retrieve files by entering a “key word” (Content Management). Or, you may want to access a database by “indexes” or tags. Or, you may want to use all three retrieval options.
Finally, you may want to use the Repository for functions such as workflow processing, collaboration, scheduling or task management. You may need the ability to “check out” a file so that no one can change it, or you may require folder/file security, or access reporting. Some of the repository functionality is available in conjunction with our WorldSoft Document Management LAN or WEB software.
